    Changes to future finance agreements

    Due to some business changes, a number of customers won’t be able to take out finance agreements with Close Brothers to cover the cost of their insurance policies in the future. This change will not happen immediately, and we will be working with brokers over the next 6-12 months to organise a smooth transition. This does NOT impact any current finance agreements OR existing insurance policies.

    Do you reattempt to take payments if they fail to go out as planned?

    Yes, if we are notified that the collection has been unsuccessful and the Direct Debit mandate is valid, our systems will automatically try to retake the missed payment. You’ll receive a letter from us to tell you the date that we’ll reattempt collection of the Direct Debit. If we hold valid bank details on the agreement a representation will be set 9 days later. These dates will be confirmed on your arrears letter.
